Evelyn Sofia Rivera is a visual artist born and raised in the Coachella Valley and is currently living in Brooklyn, NY. Rivera’s artwork is typically vibrant and full of color, she takes inspiration from her time growing up in the California desert, travels to Europe to visit family and Mexican culture. Independent work and collaborative murals she has worked on can be found throughout the eastern end of the Coachella Valley, stretching from Indio, CA to Thermal, CA. She has displayed work throughout various desert cities and hopes to continue. Rivera also has spent the last several years providing sound baths for the community. Having a background in creative therapies she has found sound healing to be one of her passions.
